The Human-Algorithm Collaboration Lab (HACLab) now has a website! HACLab is run by HTI faculty member Dr. Ravi Parikh and includes multiple HTI research affiliates. This website reflects the future direction his team’s research will head, moving from “in-silico” development/validation of AI to implementation and scaling of advanced algorithms and digital health tools to improve clinical care delivery and health policy. The core HACLab team consists of clinicians, data scientists, clinical research coordinators, and mixed-methods experts. To date, they’ve primarily focused on cancer care delivery and advanced illness. Along with this research, the lab has also developed a “playbook” to help support rigorous implementation and testing of AI across a variety of care settings.
