LDI has a new profile on Ravi Parikh, MD, MPP and his most recent paper on reimbursement policies for health care algorithms. His paper, published in npj Digital Medicine, is the latest in a six-year string of research works that have made him a top authority in the emerging field of medical artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Parikh’s previous work has focused on validating and implementing machine learning prognostic models into clinical care to improve supportive and end-of-life care. It has been one of the first examples of using machine learning-based behavioral strategies to improve care delivery and has resulted in positive end-of-life outcomes for patients.
